We are made up of a firefighter husband with a heart of gold (and the most ridiculous sense of humor you’ve ever seen), a baseball team of amazing kids, who’ve shaped every part of our journey, two amazing grandkids, and me—a midlife mama who’s building a business, a legacy, and a life that finally feels aligned.
Our home has been full of noise, laughter, sports practices, late-night talks, and wild schedules for decades… and while the seasons are changing, our foundation is still strong: love, resilience, faith, and a belief that it’s never too late to start something new.

Where My Career Started
I didn’t just “end up” in healthcare—I chose it. I wanted to help people, to make a difference, and to feel like what I did actually mattered. And for a while, it did. But then reality hit. The system? Broken. The support? Minimal. The expectations? Impossible.
Healthcare will chew you up, smile sweetly, spit you out and expect you to clock in again tomorrow like nothing happened. I gave nearly 30 years of my life to that world—I've showed up sick, ran on caffeine and grit—because that’s what was expected.
And let’s be real: there’s this unspoken badge of honor in “pushing through.” But behind that badge? Burnout, resentment, and a version of myself that barely recognized her own reflection.
I was holding everyone else up—but no one was holding me. I was the helper, the fixer, the strong one… until I wasn’t. And that’s when I realized: if I didn’t figure out a new way—one that actually supported me—I was going to break.
When Everything Fell Apart (and Finally Started to Make Sense)
After nearly three decades in healthcare and a draining experience with a toxic job, I hit a wall. We had just moved to San Diego, and while everything looked shiny on the outside, inside I felt lost.
I had raised five kids. I was a fire wife. An empty nester. And for the first time in a long time, I was asking myself:
What now?
Clocking in and out, just getting through the week—I knew I was made for more than that.
So, I took a leap. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I was willing to figure it out.
I stumbled, got bad advice, and made mistakes. But I kept going. Because deep down, I knew if I wanted something different, I had to become someone different.
And that decision? It changed everything.
Finally, I cracked the code!
After months of trial, error, and starting over more times than I can count… I finally found the missing piece.
